Invisible nudity

Model naked from the waist down walks around Hong Kong - and hardly anybody notices.

Your human body … is not a crime

My husband says, "It's just Facebook, hunny"...

But it is not just Facebook. This is the society that we live in. This is the climate of judgment and shame that you encounter when you share images of human nudity as art.

It's punishable for you to share images from classic works of art or a figure drawing class or even a mother breastfeeding her child. Censorship on Facebook is just a reflection of the bigger battle you face when you draw, paint or photograph a naked human being.

We do not create this body of art to shock, offend, or arouse a mindless lust. We create so that all of us may come to see our shared humanity as a miraculous work of art.

What do you think? Is your naked body obscene? Is it a crime to share artistic images of naked humanity?
Reclaim your experience of human beauty!

        —————————— ——————————

The International Naturist Federation opposes all censorship of the natural human body. Nudity is a fundamental expression of naturism. The human body in its natural state is neither indecent nor obscene. As evidenced by over a century of naturist experience and an abundance of scholarly research, mere nudity is not inherently any more sexual than a body concealed by clothing.

We are particularly concerned about increasing censorship of nudity in social media. Services such as Facebook have become so ubiquitous that they are effectively public spaces. We urge governments to regulate these services to secure free speech and prevent the suppression of ideas through ethnocentric censorship policies.

Free the nipple - Iceland

Last Saturday in front of the Parliament building in Reykjavik , the " Free The Nipple Movement " went topless .

The "Free The Nipple" movement is getting bigger after a teen in Iceland was made fun of, showing a photo of her breasts to promote a "Free The Nipple" day at her college, and as you can see, the weather was excellent.

1 of 8 : Support and defend nudist and naturists rights

Join an organization
Join an organization that promotes naked lifestyle and that helps to protect the rights of nudists.

Choose one of the Portuguese naturist organizations and request your International INF Naturist Membership Card issue by Portuguese Naturism Federation (FPN) or join directly FPN.

In both cases you will get the International Naturist Federation (INF) membership card accepted or recognize worldwide.

By joining you are helping local, national and international organizations.

It isn't nearly as important which organization you choose as it is that you choose one and join.

Sometimes it seems these organizations are not doing enough but all do what they can with the resources they have available.

Many of them are seeing declines in members these days which limits their influence.

There is strength in numbers and every organization will be better able to advocate for and defend naturist and nudist rights with larger membership bases.

Also, it shouldn't stop with paying your dues and getting the membership card.

Get involved where you can with the organization. Most have volunteer positions that never get filled.

Also, hold them accountable when you find issues they should be involved in but aren't. Membership has its privileges!

Annual membership fee from 22.5€ to 40€, depending on age and chosen organization.

Naturism - RIP or survive?

Portuguese naturists or nudist tend to take for granted all that we have , but the world is changing and sooner or later intolerance against naked life style will came to Portugal .

We are on the way to a less tolerant, more aggressive and more economic society.

The combinations of these factors are putting a huge pressure to all the achievements realized by naturists and nudists until our time.

The international news along 2013 showed a clear setback acceptance of nude lifestyle, not in practitioners, but in bans outdoors spaces for practice.

USA, Spain and England are examples of publicized cases along 2013.
